EMERGENCY REMOTE CONSULTATION
Please read this in its entirety before starting a remote session
Thank you for your patience as we continue to navigate our way through the COVID-19 pandemic. As always the health of our patients and community is at the forefront of our consideration.
The CDA updated directive as of 3/22/20 (select to read directive)
"The California Dental Association strongly recommends that dentist practicing in California suspend all in-person dental care with the exception of emergency treatment, until further notice. Given the gravity of this health care crisis and national emergency, CDA implores dental practices to suspend all dental care with the exception of emergency cases that present as life-threatening."
Because of the current area-wide directive to "shelter-in-place", we will not be available to answer your calls in person, as our staff will be remaining at home. However, messages and emails will be addressed remotely and triaged accordingly. In addition, assuming the above-mentioned directives remain in place, we will be implementing a "TeleDentist" (virtual consultation) platform, which you may access now. Here, we can perform a virtual consult to address many of your diagnostic dental concerns.
At this time, we do not know when we will be able to get back to our regular patient schedule. Public health experts estimate that it could be anywhere from 3 weeks (to 4/7/20) to 3 months or longer before social distancing recommendations are reduced. Again, check back for updates.
If you have a life threatening problem, call 911 or get to an emergency root. If you have an urgent dental emergency please use this link to start a virtual consultation. These consultations are subject to our usual consultation fees on a per hour basis starting with a minimum of 1 hr fee ($230/hr.) After that minimum of $130.00 will be charged at 1/2 hr. increments for each 1/2 hr. or portion of each 1/2 hr. thereafter. Billing will start once a connection is made with me and will run until the connection is terminated.
1) If you can take a close-up picture of the problem area before starting the consultation, that would make it easier to diagnose the problem.
